Welcome Brandon Rose and Skinny!

We are happy to welcome Brandon Rose to the EBS family!

It feels like Brandon Rose has been part of the family for a long time since we have known him since he was a kid. It is finally time to make it official.

Brandon is a multi-talented American artist, musician, producer, composer, and performer. Growing up within Detroit’s vibrant church community, and also being immersed in the soulful sounds of Motown initiated a lifelong love affair with music.

Brandon honed his skills on the upright bass, composition, and arranging at Michigan State University, earning both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Jazz Studies. He has been mentored by renowned bass legends like Marcus Miller and Rodney Whitaker, who have profoundly influenced his musical style.

Brandon has collaborated with esteemed artists such as Terri Lynn Carrington, Patrice Rushen, Etienne Charles, and Dan Wilson. Hear him on Dan Wilson’s latest album, “Things Eternal,” released on the prestigious Mack Avenue Records label.

Beyond bass playing, Brandon Rose is a rising star as a producer, vocalist, rapper, and songwriter. His self-produced debut album, Transition, offers a glimpse into his versatile talents. Weaving together elements of jazz, gospel, R&B, and hip-hop, infusing a fresh take on the timeless Motown sound to deliver a message of hope and optimism for the future.

Brandon uses EBS Magni 502 – 210 bass combos and the EBS Stanley Clarke Signature Acoustic Preamp.
