The EBS OctaBass Blue Label pushes the boundaries of what’s possible with an analog octave effect, delivering outstanding quality, character, and precision tracking speed.
The OctaBass was the first effect unit ever made by EBS and is renowned for its fast, accurate tracking and fat, natural octave sound. When you play a note, it tracks it and produces a tone one octave below to blend with your original note. The Blue Label model introduces new features that extend tracking range and improve sound control.
A new Range switch lets you shift the tracking focus higher or lower on the fretboard to match your playing style, enhancing tracking speed and range for an analog pedal. Note, this switch is different from previous OctaBass models where the Range switch changed tone character.
Enhanced tone control allows you to dial in everything from a present, focused octave that cuts through the mix to a subtle sub-bass layer that supports your notes discreetly. This expanded tone palette makes it easier to achieve synthesized bass sounds.
Powered by 9–18 V DC, the Blue Label has a 12% smaller footprint than the previous Studio and Black Label editions.
Want tips on using an analog octave pedal most effectively? Since these pedals are played almost like a separate instrument, we’ve put together some advice to help you get the most out of your octave effect. See this post.
