The EBS ICY-30 & 100 Insert Cables for use with the Billy Sheehan Signature Drives & the Stanley Clarke Acoustic Preamp

Connect the 1/4" Stereo Contact of the ICY-30 or 100 to one of the Loops (Clean or Drive) on the Billy Sheehan or Stanley Clarke Acoustic Preamp pedals to add external effects, equalizers, or on/off switches to either the Clean or the Drive channel of the Billy Sheehan pedal. The cable works for any other item that makes use of a y-type insert cable too, of course.

Example 1: An OctaBass is connected to the Clean Loop using an ICY-30 cable that feeds the OctaBass with a clean note to track, and sending back the sub octave to the clean channel of the Billy Sheehan Drive Deluxe. That way, you can use the Drive effect on top but preserve a clean sub-octave sound in the bottom.  An UniChorus is connected to the Drive Loop and will only affect the distortion, and leave the clean sound unaffected.

Example 2: If you have a pedal with True Bypass laying around at no use, you can use it as an on-off switch for the Drive on the Billy Sheehan pedal by putting it backwards in the Drive loop. Benefit? Well, you would be able to use the Billy pedal as a compressor only, until you kick in the drive again.
