Barend Courbois

Barend Courbois is a Dutch bass player that’s been on top of his game as a bass player for several decades, playing with acclaimed metal bands like Blind Guardian, Vengeance and now with the legendary Michael Schenker Group. As the son of the famous jazz drummer, Sir Pierre Courbois, he studied jazz music early in his career and was influenced by players like Jaco Pastorious, Stanley Clarke, and Marcus Miller. Before he got into rock music, Barend played with his father and other prominent jazz musicians, and he has kept one foot in both camps ever since.
