The EBS CurlySquare^TM coiled instrument cable features a bold design that will catch the audience’s eye at every gig. With its jumbo-sized curls and square-shaped cable, it looks more like a trailer cable than something you connect to your bass, but hold on, it’s not just for show!

The square shape prevents the cable from turning into a mess due to cable memory. The heavy-duty insulation makes it extra durable and protected, and we haven’t even mentioned the real invention yet.

The WaveGrip^TM contacts keep you connected!

These cables feature a unique design by EBS called WaveGrip^TM, which means the 1/4” contacts have annular precision-turned grooves spaced along the shaft for a secure, non-split fit in the jack. That means the risk of stepping on the cable and losing signal, as it pulls the plug out of the jack, is eliminated.

The CurlySquare^TM cables are available in two lengths: 4,6 m (15 ft) and 7,6 m (25 ft), and configurations with two straight or one straight/one angled contact.

If you prefer a more discreet design but still want the heavy-duty insulation and square-shaped cable, pick the EBS Regular Square edition, a straight instrument cable version available in 3,8 m (12.5 ft) and 6,8 m (22 ft) lengths, with the same configurations as the CurlySquare cables.

Stockholm, December 2025 – EBS Professional Bass Equipment appoints OMG Music as new exclusive distributor in the U.S., with the agreement taking effect on 1 December 2025. This strategic move marks a significant ramp‑up for EBS’s presence in North America, making EBS accessories, bass amplification, cabinets, and pedals more available to bass players across the nation.

Since 1988, EBS has built a global reputation as a maker of bass equipment geared toward professional bass players, from amps and cabinets to pedals and accessories. While the brand has always had a foothold in the U.S., the company believes it still hasn’t reached its true potential stateside. That’s about to change with OMG Music on board.

The first significant change: the cabinet is now 4 inches deeper, offering a noticeable improvement in low-end response, projection, and overall tonal richness. This enhancement ensures that today’s bassists get the punch and presence they need from a compact cabinet, whether they’re in the studio, on tour, or pushing the limits live.

Second, EBS has replaced the previous flip handles with a single, heavy-duty, deep-dish handle. This small but significant upgrade helps eliminate the risk of rattling noise, making the cab perform securely even at high volumes, while also improving durability and ease of transport. 

Third, the high-performance tweeter is now isolated and sealed from the rest of the cabinet, which also helps to reduce the risk of noise due to the sound pressure within the cabinet. 

Despite the deeper cabinet, and due to the Neodymium speakers and choice of wood, it remains a lightweight cabinet, weighing in at 14.35 kg (31.6 lb).

Already a favorite for its lightweight construction and road-ready build, the updated NeoLine 112 (Mk2) now delivers even greater performance with no compromises. It’s a compact speaker for serious players. Despite the improvements, the price remains intact.

We had the honor of hosting Tony at the EBS office recently, and got invited to the Kendrick Lamar show in Stockholm. Tony is not only the musical director of the show, but also performs and programs all the music as a one-person band backing up Kendrick’s performance. As far as we know, it’s the only stadium tour performed that way until today.

Tony plays the bass and keyboard live, along with samplings and programmed sequences. The bass rig on the tour consists of EBS 802 amplifiers with a one-of-a-kind custom-covered EBS ProLine 810 cabinet.

To make performing bass players (and their sound engineers) happy, EBS delivers the bass amps for three stages at the scene, as well as sponsored artists performing on the two main stages. Something we have done for the last twenty years. All in all, 36 bands out of 93 had EBS on stage.

Among the EBS artists playing this year were Pawel Maciwoda (Scorpions), Martin Mendez (Opeth), John ‘JC’ Calabrese (Danko Jones), Tomas Näslund (Blindside), Ken Sandin (Kee Marcello plays Europe), Hasse Hagman (Universe III), Ola Henriksson (Bombus) and Jonathan Thyberg of the new sensations on the thrash-scene, Bloodstain.
